Online Shopping Return Policies
Find the easiest way return to stores you shop at by using Dealio’s new store Return Policy blog. Save time and money and, more importantly, save yourself hassle when you need to return.
Finding deals online can be easy, but finding return policies can sometimes challenge the most web savvy deal hunters. You can end up spending hours going page by page to find even the smallest store’s online return policies. This is why Dealio is compiling links to a wide-range of stores’ online return policies, to make it easy for you to find out just what you’ll have to do to return an item.

Amazon : Accepts both regular and gift returns within 30 days of purchase in original packaging. It also accepts exchanges for faulty items. Amazon will also give partial refunds for specific items or product condition. Amazon does not accept returns for items purchased by third-party sellers, instead, look to the selling vendor for returns.
Apple Store : 14 day return policy with original receipt based on the original payment method. They also feature an easy to read list of non-returnable items and have step-by-step return process directions.
Walmart : All merchandise sold and shipped by Walmart.com may be returned to a store or by mail within 90 days of receiving it. There are return guidelines on their return page for items like Apparel, Electronics, Gifts and more.
Best Buy : Most products are returnable at a Best Buy store, but you must call customer support for high-priced items, like TVs and furniture. 14 days for computers, monitors, camcorders, projectors, digital cameras. 30 days for all other products. 45 days for all products for Reward Zone Program Premier Silver members.
Target : Most Target.com purchases can be returned to a Target store or to Target.com within 90 days and must be in new and unused condition, as well as contain original packaging and accessories. Target also lists products that are non-returnable.
Costco : Costco refunds membership fees in full at any time. Costco accepts returns of all products at any time. However, there is a 90 day limit on items like televisions, camcorders, ipods, mp3 players and cell phones. You can return any item to a warehouse for immediate refund, including shipping and handling, or call or email their customer service center for assistance. Reference your order number when calling.
Gamestop : Up to 30 days for returned products in original packaging and with original accessories and manuals – also returned items must be in saleable condition. They do not accept returns on items that have been opened, not in original condition, damaged/played/missing parts, sold as part of a bundle.
eBay : Return policies are dictated by the seller of the product you want to return. Check the seller’s return policy for their instructions on returning items.
Newegg : Most products can be returned for either a Refund or for a Replacement of the same item. Refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which is deducted from the refund amount. Newegg lists a specific return process on their return policy page.
Circuit City : 30 day from purchase date return policy on qualified and conforming products. General guidelines require all products to have a Return Authorization, which is issued when you request one within 30 days of purchase. Return postage and handling are paid by the customer and are non-refundable.
Buy.com : Their basic return policy is 30 days from shipping date, with a valid Return Merchandise Authorization code, which can be requested from the website. Many products have their own special return policy, which also appears on their return policy page. Buy.com’s return page also features manufacturer contact information, which can be necessary if you need to return a product directly to the manufacturer.
Overstock : The return policy for Overstock states that you can initiate a return for most new an unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. They inspect all returned items and will give a partial refund for opened or used items. They also have a guide that features by step process for returning an item to make it easier.
Shop Bop : Returns at Shop Bop are easy when you follow their easy guidelines: returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt for items that HAVE NOT BEEN WORN, ALTERED OR WASHED, and with ALL tags attached. Footwear returns and exchanges must include the original shoe box in its original condition and without postal labels. They have a special address that all returns must go to and a few steps, but the return shipping is free.
Zappos : Zappos features free shipping and free return shipping. They feature a video that takes you step by step through their return process. Their basic policy is that you have 365 days ( 1 year!) to return the unwanted items as long as they’re in their original condition and original packaging. They provide you with a pre-paid UPS tag.
6pm : To return at 6pm, just log in to your account and click the order number that contains the item you want to return. Their basic policy is 30 days from the purchase day and your item must be unwown and in the original condition you received it. They do not accept exchanges or refund the shipping charges.
Walgreens : To return a purchase at Walgreens, you have 30 days from receipt of your purchase to return either in store or by mail. To return by mail, contact their customer service with your order number. They will email or mail you a return label. Mail the return back to them with the original invoice and they will notify you when the return is complete.
Justice/Limited Too : The return policy for this store is pretty hard to dig up, so we found it for you. Justice accepts unwashed, unworn, or defective merchandise at any Justice store in the United States within 90 days of the original purchase date. They also accept web returns at retail stores as well as to a Justice postal address.
Borders : Borders return policy for online purchases requires that you return new books, unopened CDs, and DVDs in their original condition, include your packing slip and completed returns form, and return within 30 days of the shipment date listed on your packing slip. (Borders Rewards members may return items within 60 days of the shipment date.) If you return your online purchase to a store, you will receive a gift card equal to the value of your online purchase.
