Chic for Cheap(er): Matthew Williamson for H&M
Posted by Colleen on April 9, 2009 in Fashion
The word is spreading… Matthew Williamson will be collaborating with H&M on a spring and summer collection for both women and men!
This is Williamson’s first time designing menswear; pretty keen of H&M to grab the exclusive rights to something this fabulous. What’s better is we don’t have to wait very long to see the new line. Matthew Williamson for H&M will launch on April 23 in select stores and the collection will continue through mid-May.
Those of you familiar with Williamson will appreciate that even though this is a line for H&M, it’s not cheaply done. Pieces are still pricier than most things you find in the Swedish-based store, but if these pictures are any indication, they will be well worth it! As you will see, we can expect a lot of bright colors and standout prints, as well as some of his famous “hippie-chic” styles that keep him busy with celebrity clients.
Check out some of my favorites from the collection:
Sequin Dress, $200
Silk Blazer, $95
Silk Jumpsuit, $203
So what do you think? Will you be wearing Matthew Williamson at a more affordable price this summer? Be sure to get to H&M on the 23rd to get a first-hand look at the new pieces. And for more H&M sales and coupon codes, remember to visit Dealio.com!
