Drink Freebie: Free Starbucks Coffee For Community Service

Posted by Sammiekat on January 23, 2009 in Freebies

Starbucks is again proving that they are about more than just great coffee. In their latest “I’m In” campaign with HandsOn Network, which was inspired by President Obama’s call for national service, Starbucks is asking everyone to pledge at least five hours of community service at a local volunteer opportunity of their choice. Each person who pledges their time to service will be honored with a free tall brewed coffee. To participate, visit a participating Starbucks location and fill out an “I’m In” pledge card with your five hour commitment to volunteer, place the “I’m In” sticker on your shirt and you’ll receive your free cup of coffee.  You can log on to pledge5.starbucks.com to record your hours, find local volunteer opportunities through HandsOn Network, and receive updates on the campaign.  Hurry, as this offer is valid ends on January 25th.  Starbucks has set a goal to raise more than one million hours of service all across the nation.
