Fashion Scoop: Anya Hindmarch for Target

Anya Hindmarch has just released a new line for Target! Hindmarch is a British handbag designer most famous for the “I’m Not a Plastic Bag” campaign, in which she used her influence as a well regarded designer to promote environmental awareness. She collaborated to design “I’m not a plastic bag” canvas totes to be used instead of plastic bags by stylish and environmentally conscious shoppers. The bags sold out right away, and were even used as goody bags at the Oscars!

Hindmarch, the 2006 and 2007 Glamour “Designer of the Year” award winner teamed up with Target to design a classic collection of clutches, purses and bags with several color schemes. According to Target, “Internationally acclaimed designer Anya Hindmarch knows what women want: Handbags that showcase craftsmanship and an approachable sense of style.” Especially with during economic crisis, we can’t sacrificing our savings on trends, but with this line we don’t need to!
