I love soy! Not just in my food, but as a wax base for candles as well. Soy candles are not only better for the environment than paraffin candles, but they also burn at a lower temperature which causes them to last much longer. I particularly love the fact that unlike paraffin wax, soy candles do not leave nasty black toxic remnants on walls or furniture. A common misperception is that soy candles are expensive – I found some great ones by Therepe which are reasonably priced and smell yummy.
