Baby Scoop: Orbit Baby Infant System

Slick website. Slick product. Say goodbye to Bugaboo, hello to Orbit Baby. I love that Orbit Baby advertises their line of baby & toddler car seats, strollers and bassinets in the same way a car company would demo their newest model. Their cool 360 degree photos and videos highlight the product’s high-tech engineering and design, making you forget that at the end of the day, your baby will be spitting/throwing up something onto its micro-fiber upholstery interior ((removes easily and machine-washable). Putting all the gadget geekiness aside, however, reviews have deemed the Orbit Baby system to be one of the safest out there. The entire system costs around $900.
Other features (besides the “coolest parent on the block” perk):
- “SmartHub” Attachment: Ergonomic rotating base (works with both the car seat and the stroller) allows for 360 degree rotation and easy docking and undocking. This means you can conveniently park the stroller or car seat and twist the baby to face you – or its adoring audience.
- “StrongArm” Technology: Simple one turn of the knob allows for a safe and secure installation even with limited space (translation: fits into your BMW convertible or Mini Cooper).
- Easy twist-and-lift allows for one-handed folding.
- Limited Green Edition Bassinet Cradle which is made of 100% organic cotton interior and PVC and phthalate-free materials. Orbit also has an eco-friendly company program.
